Tina + Shusheng | Engagement Session at Morikami Museum

Tina + Shusheng

How did you and Shusheng meet? A few years ago I started ballroom dancing, one day Shusheng showed up at the studio for the Argentine Tango class. We met and started dancing together. We became friends and grew closer and then started dating. From the beginning I remember feel a spark between us.

How did he propose? This past November Shusheng and I went to New York for a get away. I noticed he was acting unusual, he was quiet and not his usual plan-ahead self. We went to Korea town for dinner and afterward he suggested we walk back to the hotel. It was very cold and windy that night. We were walking past the Library when he suggested we go check it out, so we walked up the steps and he set up his camera. We posed to take a picture and then he got down on one knee. He tricked me a filmed the whole proposal.

Where are you getting married and what do you envision for your wedding day? We are getting married at the Addison next March, I am looking forward to bringing together our two cultures. We are having a Persian wedding ceremony with Chinese elements throughout. I think we’re both most looking forward to our first dance. We are going to dance to 3 tango songs, we are really look forward to putting on a beautiful performance.
