How did you both meet? Our story is that we met at Tap42. We were both out at brunch with friends. He came over to me and started talking to me and asked me out on a “proper date”. I thought he was very sweet with his Southern charm.
How did Thad propose? Thad proposed to me with a message in a bottle on the beach. He took me to the beach for a walk before going to brunch at the Pelican Grand in Fort Lauderdale. The bottle was in the sand, and he had burned the edges of paper to make it look old. I opened it up and inside was a letter expressing his love for me. He got down on one knee and proposed (his friend was hiding in the bushes by edge of beach to capture the whole thing!!)
What was your vision for your wedding day? My vision for my wedding day was to have a romantic beach wedding with all of our close friends and family. It was everything I imagined and more, however, it went by way too fast!
Tell us about your beautiful wedding gown? I bought my wedding gown at The White Dress Bridal in Fort Lauderdale. They take the time to make you feel special and work by appointment only. They even have a runway in there! I actually went by myself the day I found my dress. I tried on many dresses of various styles, but loved my dress the second I put it on! I felt like a princess in a Disney movie. It was fancy for the beach, but I didn’t care….beach princess! The designer is Sophia Tolli.
