Melissa + Danny
How we met: Danny and I met online though some people don’t like to broadcast that it’s very much a part of our story. I decided I wanted to move from New York to Florida in the summer of 2015 to be closer to my parents so my best friend signed me up for a dating site to “see what’s out there.” I messaged Danny, thinking he was cute and southern (lol!) and from August until I moved down in December we talked everyday, FaceTimed, and texted. We met up about 4 times before I finally moved down. Our first date was Danny’s pick at the Old Key Lime House in Lantana. It was perfect! He totally pulled out all of the stops for our second date and took me to a Jason Aldean concert at the Fairgrounds when he knew I loved country music.
How he proposed: We planned a trip to Epcot to “go around the world” and take a break from the craziness of purchasing our first home together. After a long morning of Danny acting strange and after we “traveled the world” of Epcot, we stopped to pose for a picture near a lookout point to the lake when Danny got down on one knee and popped the question! It was definitely Disney Magic!
Where are you getting married and what is your vision for your wedding day? The wedding will be at The Addison in Boca Raton. Our vision is something of a fairy tail, whimsical and flowers all over with twinkling lights around the beautiful trees the Addison has! Just to be surrounded by friends and family from New York, New Orleans (Danny’s hometown) and Florida will be perfect.
