What was the one moment on your wedding day that is most memorable?
There are so many moments from that day that are memorable that it is hard to pick just one! The first look was really memorable though. We were so excited to see one another and it was nice to have that moment to ourselves by the water to soak it all in before the craziness began. I can still remember what Phil’s face was when he saw me! What an awesome reaction that was!
Other than that, the ceremony was really beautiful. The weather was perfect, the ceremony site was gorgeous, the amount of love felt from our family and friends was immense and our handwritten vows really added to the ceremony. I couldn’t have imagined it any better than how it went that day.
What inspired your vision for your wedding?
The Addison is really beautiful and was my inspiration for my wedding. Before we picked The Addison for our venue, I was all over the map with what I wanted but when I saw it, I realized exactly what I wanted and it all came together after that. I wanted it to be vintage and classic. I wanted it to be soft and warm and beautiful so the colors were picked to play off the vintage feel of the venue and roses were chosen to keep with the classic theme.

You guys were FANTASTIC! You were so patient with all our guests and bridal party and you were in tune with what we wanted and needed. You even kept our ring bearer smiling even though he was definitely having a meltdown from the long day and numerous pictures. I can not imagine having spent our day with anyone else other than Poirier!
I loved your wedding dress! Tell us about your gown?
My gown was designed by Essense of Australia. It was ivory in color and had a silk underlay with a lace overlay. It was light and airy and perfect for our vintage theme. I got so many compliments on it!
What advice do you have for couples currently planning a wedding?
As awful and overwhelming as the planning can be, try to enjoy it. Your wedding day is over in the blink of an eye. We knew this would happen and we tried everything in our power to slow time down and soak it all in and it still wasn’t enough. I would also say that the small things can really add to your event so try to think of the little touches and personalize your wedding because those things really leave an impression on your guests!
