What inspired your vision for your wedding?
I have always loved all things nautical and Matt’s grandfather and Father were both in the Navy and were both very experienced boat captains. Matt’s grandfather would sail from NJ to FL along the intercostals, so the nautical theme felt like the perfect way to reflect our interests and backgrounds.
What was your favorite design element of your wedding?
We both loved the navy and white striped cocktail tables tied with a piece of boat rope! Pulling off the nautical theme with a navy and “raspberry ice” color palette was not easy, but Weddings by Bailey brought all of our design ideas to life! I especially loved our cake! It had our colors and theme all in one beautiful, tasty dessert!
What was the most memorable moment of your wedding?
Matt says seeing me walk down the aisle was his most memorable moment (awwwwww). Mine was the bait and switch after the garter toss! Seeing Philip’s reaction when he realized he placed the garter on my dad’s leg and not Molly’s was priceless.
Did you have something borrowed, something blue, and something new?
New: Wedding dress — Alfred Angelo Disney Princess collection (Ariel, my favorite princess!)
Borrowed/Old: 8-legged starfish pendant with pearls and a diamond which my mother wore as a necklace when her and my father married.
Blue: I had forgotten about this one!! Luckily my sister/maid of honor had a solution. She tied a piece of blue fabric on to my garter right before leaving for the ceremony.
