Sarah + Peterjohn’s Long Key Nature Center Wedding

Sarah + Peterjohn:

What was the one moment on your wedding day that is most memorable?

The most memorable part of our wedding day was walking down the isle to my now husband. I took one deep breath before my brother walked me down the isle and then it was all smiles the rest of the day!

Did you have something borrowed, something blue, and something new?

My something borrowed was a heart shaped pendant that one of my bridesmaids let me borrow.

My something blue was “I Do” stickers I wore on the bottom of my shoes that my matron of honor gave me when I first got engaged!

My something new was my wedding dress.

My something old was a pair of earrings I wore – they were a gift from my husband back when we were dating.

What details or traditions did you include on your wedding day?

Our first dance was the tradition we included, we danced to Make You Feel My Love by Adele. We also had my childhood pastor marry us which made the ceremony more special.

What advice do you have for couples currently planning a wedding?

The day goes by so fast that sweating the small stuff is not as important as you might think. Some of the details you may think are important, your guests may not even notice. Don’t stress yourself! Enjoy your day, and remember you are marrying your best friend!

What inspired your vision for your wedding?

I really wanted something that had the look of spring and something shabby chic.
