Bruna + Thomas

How did Thomas propose? It was December 26th, 2015. Thomas had told me that we were having a suprise birthday party for his mother. He had me get all dressed up for the “party” that was going to be at a cute little Italian restaurant we always go to as a family. When I arrived I was led out to the patio area of the restaurant to see my mother standing there holding flowers for me. From that moment I knew what was happening. Behind my mother was Thomas standing in a heart made out of rose petals and candles. One of our close friends was playing Ed Sheerans “Thinking out loud” on his guitar. With all of our family and very close friends there, Thomas dropped to his knee and asked if I would make him the most blessed man on Earth and marry him. With tear rushing down my eyes I screamed yes and here we are now.

Your dress was stunning. Tell us the story about saying “Yes” to the dress? Saying “yes” to the dress was such a special and exciting moment. My dream dress was exactly what I ended up getting, it was love at first sight! I tried two dresses on before trying on my dress, they looked stunning but I knew they weren’t the one for me. As soon as I tried on my dress I started to tear up. I knew at that moment that was the dress!

What was your inspiration for your wedding day? Our inspiration for our wedding day was the old fashion traditional elegant weddings. We wanted our wedding to be like those weddings you see in the movies with the big celebrations and party. We were really inspired to have an elegant wedding.

What advice would you give other couples planning their wedding? The most important thing is to remain supportive of each other and help each other out.Time goes by really fast so you really have to be on top of things! If you set a goal to get one thing for the wedding at a time it really helps you focus on exactly what you want for your wedding. Also, at times it gets really stressful but it’s all about enjoying every second of it. It’s such a beautiful special moment that we wouldn’t have traded it for anything!
