How did you and Danny meet? Kassidy and I met in the summer of 2004 when my family moved across the street from her and her family. There was an age gap as I am 6 years older than her. When I moved in at the age of 16, her father saw a great opportunity. He began to hire me for odd jobs such as washing and waxing their cars and boats and I quickly became a close family friend. After completing college and returning home, her mom saw an opportunity and decided to set us up. After our first date, the rest was history.
How did he propose? I came up with the idea of leading Kassidy to believe that we were meeting with Robbie (my best man) and Kathy (his wife and bridesmaid) up for dinner at Seaside Grille on Pompano Beach for dinner. I informed them to arrive early and go to the beach. They were instructed to text us as we arrived and invite out to the water with the sunset in the background. I wanted them there as they are our closest friends and of course to photograph the beautiful moment. With the lighthouse in the background and Kassidy oblivious, I dropped to one knee and completely shocked her (I recall her backing away and telling me to get up and the joke is not funny). Well, when she saw my face and how serious I was she was overwhelmed and quickly said yes.
What was your inspiration for your wedding day? Kassidy’s dream was to have a princess fairytale wedding. The colors were chosen because as long as I have ever known her, purple has always been her favorite. I also need to add, she was truly a princess that day.
What was your most memorable moment on your wedding day? To pinpoint one moment is way too tough. It really was everything we dreamed of. Although, for me, seeing her walk through those double doors with our family and friends is a moment that I will never forget.
