WHAT INSPIRED YOUR VISION FOR YOUR WEDDING?
For our wedding, I really wanted to incorporate traditional and nontraditional elements to give the whole event a unique feel. However, with Pinterest, wedding magazines and all the different wedding websites I was overwhelmed with all the different styles and ideas. My vision for the wedding came with the help of our florist, Marilyn Muina. She is amazing! She took in all my mismatched, broken up ideas and put it all together for a demo centerpiece that I absolutely fell in love with. It felt true to the romantic shabby chic style, but with a modern twist that I wanted. The colors of the centerpieces were perfect and the rest of the ideas for the wedding took off from there.
WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE DESIGN ELEMENT OF YOUR WEDDING?
Hands down it had to be the flowers! My mom from the very beginning said we couldn’t hold back with the flowers and I was hesitant about that given the cost, as well as my style of simplicity. But of course moms know best. The flowers really set the mood for the wedding.
WHAT WAS THE MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT OF YOUR WEDDING DAY?
The best, most memorable moment was walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing all my family and friends with big smiles and tears of joy in their eyes, and seeing Greg standing so tall and handsome at the end. Even though we’ve been together for 8 years before tying the knot, it was like we were seeing each other for the first time in a completely new way. There was an indescribable amount of joy in his eyes (and in mine according to Greg). We had originally planned to do the first look; however, due to the Mayfair’s open concept layout we decided against it. At that time I was very upset the first look wasn’t going to work out, but now I am so happy that we didn’t do it. I strongly believe that everything happens for a reason. The whole wedding seems like it went by in a blink of an eye; yet, I remember every detail and emotion of walking down the aisle that it will always be timeless to me.
Stacey most memorable moment: Veronica and Greg’s first dance, they did not take their eyes off each other. It was a beautiful moment!
Brandon’s most memorable moment: The view from the top of the hotel was gorgeous!
