The Addison Boca Raton Wedding/ Yumi + Miguel

Yumi + Miguel

Our day began at the landmark hotel Boca Resort & spa where they were all getting ready. Brandon was with the guys in the living room of the suite and I was in the bedroom with the girls while they were having their hair & makeup done. Everyone was very excited to be a part of Yumi & Miguel’s wedding. Yumi gave her girls beautiful necklaces to go with their dresses while Miguel surprised his guys with custom railroad spike knives which were engraved with their initials and wedding date. Yumi wore a dazzling Allure bridal fitted A-line strapless satin gown with just the right touch of lace and was absolutely gorgeous. Miguel was looking very sharp in his Ted Barry black tuxedo with a silver tie & boutonniere to match Yumi’s bouquet of anemones.  Their ceremony incorporated Yumi’s culture with a Japanese ritual of San-San-Ku-Do that dates back to the 8th century. Yumi shared the meaning of the ritual with us “It means: Three sets of three sips equals nine. The number 3 is a sacred number in Japan because it can not be divided. The three cups you see are filled with sake, Both Groom and Bride will take three sips from each of the three cups to honor and symbolize the meaning of each cup. The first cup represents the three couples that are being united: The bride and groom, the bride’s parents, and the groom’s parents. The second cup represents the three humans flaws: Hatred, Jealousy, and Ignorance. The third cup represents deliverance from the three flaws. After the ritual, now the groom’s parents and the bride’s parents are united.”  It was a beautiful ceremony officiated by their good friend Lucas. Then we were off to the reception for an entertaining evening of dancing, a scrumptious dinner and sweet & tasty desserts. They had individual wedding cakes for each guest to enjoy which were simply adorable and very delicious. They finished their evening with a sparkler exit before driving off in a vintage style Rolls Royce. It was the perfect finish for a fabulous day! Congratulations Yumi & Miguel!
