Michelle + Jay’s Delray Beach Marriott Wedding

What was the one moment on your wedding day that is most memorable?

The most memorable moment I have from my wedding day was watching Jay’s face during our vows.  I will never forget the feeling or the look on his face as we promised to be husband and wife forever.

Did you have something borrowed, something blue, and something new?

Yes I did.  My something blue was my Royal Blue Badgley Mishka wedding shoes.  My something borrowed was a bracelet from my sister in law, Ashley Kamensky.  My something new was my wedding earrings.

What details or traditions did you include on your wedding day?

Unique bridesmaid, flower girl, and groomsmen gifts really added a nice personal touch with gifts that can be reused for a lifetime.  Jason and I also wrote personalized notes that we delivered to our parents on the day of the wedding (They cried).

What advice do you have for couples currently planning a wedding?

1. Start early so you have plenty of time to do your homework and take advantage of sales.

2. If cash flow isn’t a major concern, consider the cost of buying items yourself that you can resell or use as decor in your home.

3. Create a budget and decide what parts of your wedding are most important.  They should take up a majority of your budget.

What inspired your vision for your wedding?

I did a lot of searching and pinning to come up with my style.  I fell in love with this photo on Pinterest of a royal blue dress with green and white bouquets early on and decided to work around that.   I also loved the romantic feel of an all white reception with heavy candles, so I left the color for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and went with whites and creams for the reception.  The tall centerpieces really made an impact as well. They were beautiful!

If there is any information you would like to share about your day please feel free to do so? The ceremony and reception took place at the Delray Beach Marriott in Delray Beach, FL.  Special thanks to Angie Smythe, Director of Events, for being so accommodating and making sure that everything ran smooth on the day of the big event!   And last but certainly not least, one million thank you’s to Poirier Wedding Photography for their outstanding work and dedication to capturing our engagement and wedding.
