How did you both meet?
Derek and I are both gators and met at the University of Florida. We were acquaintances for a few years and kept running into each other our last semester of college and he finally asked me out. We have been together ever since.
How did Derek propose?
We were doing a mini stay-cation in Ft.Lauderdale and spent the day paddle boarding and laying on the beach. He told me that we were meeting friends for dinner but they were running late. We grabbed a drink at a restaurant by the beach and he insisted on walking on the beach when we were headed back to the car. He got down on one knee in the sand and proposed. We headed to a nearby restaurant and when they seated us both my family and his family were at the table. I was so touched because my family had flown in to be there and we all got to share the moment together.
Look real close: If you look real close in the sunrise images when the sun is just rising in the left corner of the sun is the partial Eclipse that took place on November 3rd. How cool is that! It was a Hybrid Eclipse because it is both total and an annular eclipse.
