Lourdes + Christopher
How did you and both meet? We met at Jessica and Chris LoBianco’s wedding in St Augustine, Florida. I’m one of Jessica’s best friends from high school and I was her bridesmaid. Chris was a friend of the couple’s from his days at FSU through one of the groomsmen, Steve. Chris waited until their reception to tap me on the back and ask me to dance. For our wedding, Jessica was my maid of honor and Steve was Chris’ groomsman.
How did Christopher propose? Chris and I planned a trip to Holland, Belgium, and France in the Spring of 2015. Chris waited until we got to France to pick the perfect spot to pop the question one afternoon, on a bench facing the Seine River on Île Saint-Louis. It was a huge surprise; yet still very true to who we are: intimate, peaceful, and sweet.
What was your most memorable moment? The entire day was memorable. We took in every second. We cherished our wedding planning and imagined it with a lot of hope and excitement. Our celebration, the religious ceremony and reception, was magical and beyond what we imagined. It was so magical also because of the people that surrounded us that day. Everyone celebrated us with so much love. We cherish them very much.
What inspired your vision for your wedding day? Our inspiration came from a painting of almond blossoms in our home. Enchanted and romantic. We wanted golds, light pinks, ivory, and greenery. We also wanted to have personal touches, like my brother’s sketch of the church on our wedding ceremony program and imported jordan almonds in customized gold ribboned boxes that I made by hand.
