Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens Engagement Session | Morikami Wedding Photographer

Kimberly + Sean

How did you meet? We met Spring Semester 2011 at FSU! I went to a popular bar (at the time) Mardi Gras to celebrate my 20th birthday with my sister, Sarah (Maid of Honor) and roommate, Marissa (Bridesmaid). Sean was with his college roommate and groomsman Jimmy that night. Sean came up and asked me to dance, we spent the rest of the night dancing! We had our first official date at a Japanese Sushi Restaurant, Jasmine’s in Tallahassee.

How did Sean propose? Sean popped the question on the Top of Vail Mountain, November 23rd, 2015 on my families 15th annual ski trip to Vail, Colorado. On our first day in Vail, Sean convinced me to go to the top of the mountain for coffee and a hike. He took me over to the scenic viewpoint Mount of the Holy Cross showing me the ridges in the mountain that forms a perfect cross. He then dropped down to one knee asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. I couldn’t have said YES faster, it was MAGICAL!!!

Where are you getting married and what do you vision for your wedding day? After six amazing years together, Sean and I are looking forward to having our dream wedding in Delray Beach, FL. We have chosen to get married at Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens. We knew this was the perfect venue for us because we both love going to parks, gardens and museums together! On our wedding day we are planning to have a perfect day filled with love and all our family and friends by our side. The inspiration for our wedding is romantic, sparkle and lots of flowers!!
