Alyson + Joe’s Hyatt Pier 66 Wedding / Ft. Lauderdale Wedding Photographer

Alyson + Joe

What was the one moment on your wedding day that is most memorable?

When Joe and I got to see each for the first time during the first look; I will never forget the smile he had on his face.

Stacey’s most memorable moment:  When Alyson & Joe entered the reception for the first time at husband & wife, they were so happy and excited to join their party.

Brandon’s most memorable moment: When D.J. Ray had the girls on one side of the room and the guys on the other and they all sang Summer Nights. It was a big hit!

Did you have something borrowed, something blue, and something new?

My something borrowed was my cousin’s handkerchief from when her mother got married. My something blue was my garter, and my something new was a necklace from my husband.

What details or traditions did you include on your wedding day?
We had both a Rabbi and a Pastor marry us. We lit the unity candle to symbolize our love and us becoming one. Joe broke the glass symbolizing that however many pieces the glass shatters is how many years we will be together- a million pieces.

Did you decide to do a “first look”?

Yes, and it was the best decision we could have made.

What advice do you have for couples currently planning a wedding?

Don’t sweat the small stuff; enjoy celebrating with your friends and family because the night goes by so fast. In the end, it ends up being everything you dreamed it would be!
